 Blog Post #6 Podcasting & Interims oh my! 



*Do the following blog post, where the author lays out a list of her ten favourite podcasts for school librarians. You will notice that they are not all about libraries-some are about creativity, or tech or various other things. Please check out all ten (you don't have to listen to one from each, just read about what they are). Then you will choose 1 or 2 (see below) and answer the questions below. 

Peruse the following podcasts. You can either do one long one (long means 1 hour +) or two shorter ones (under an hour)

5. Do an instagram post about it; why you'd recommend it, and what you learned :) (if you do two podcasts you can include both in the same post)

Blog Post #8: Social Issues & Graphic Novels

Find a graphic novel (or picture book) that deals with a historical event or specific issue (the Holocaust/Iranian revolution/bullying etc). It can be fiction or non-fiction.  Please have your choice approved first In a blog post include: A picture of the book along with title, name of author and copyright information. A summary of the book. The summary needs to be in your own words and include all of the pertinent information needed for someone who has not read the book to feel they understand it. This means you need to read the book ;)  Some information/facts about the issue. The information can be copy/pasted but you must include sources (MLA). A description of an assignment for a certain class (i.e. Socials 11, English 9, Career and Planning 10, Social Justice 12, First Nations 12) using that book as well as other picture books or graphic novels around  the same theme.  This means you will need to research other books that would help them.
